A NEW DAY

2021-01-01

While 2020 is over, it doesn’t mean it’s over. We have to double down even more, we have to be careful, we have to keep planting new seeds and keep working on what we started, keep working towards better.

We have this interesting concept of date and time which makes us all excited that today is the start of another, better year. In reality it’s just another day, but we somehow manage to be excited about it, which generally wears off within a few days or so.

All the good and bad that was there yesterday is still here today. Anyway, we feel different, we feel like there is a new beginning and we can leave 2020 behind. We set New Year's resolutions, new goals and want to build new, better habits.

The challenge is to keep that spirit as long as possible before falling back into the every day routines and do our very best to actually build those new good habits in order to last.

I’m no exception to this phenomenon, I too do have the desire for new and better habits. There are so many things that I'd like to do and fall short in doing on a regular bases.

The first step in building these new habits is recognising patterns and start adjusting accordingly, and actually reminding myself of the things that are really important to me and do those first and foremost.
